Pour ceux qui iront rouler au NB cet été, faites attention a ce que vous mettrez dans vos réservoir...
Just got the memo...
"On Tuesday, March 8, 10% ethanol (E 10) is being introduced into regular unleaded gasoline supplied from Esso and Irving. The introduction of ethanol into regular unleaded gasoline may cause issues for some gasoline powered equipment and storage facilities.
Please note - effective immediately, Vehicle Management Agency (VMA) recommends that you do not purchase or use regular or mid-grade gasoline for any small equipment that is gasoline powered.
One of the potential problems with ethanol blended gasoline is its very short shelf life. It reacts with moisture which causes the ethanol to separate from the gas. This may cause severe damage to carburetors and fuel systems after even short storage periods.
VMA recommends that you use only high test (premium) gasoline in all small equipment that is gasoline powered - this includes 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines for boat motors, portable water pumps, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, generators, gas powered trimmers, lawn mowers, snow blowers, chain saws, bush saws, etc.
Please use high test (premium) gas in any vehicle that is utilized on a seasonal basis or will remain parked for an extended period of time after the March 8, 2011 introduction of ethanol into regular gasoline. All gasoline engine powered equipment should have a tank of high test gas run through the engine before it is parked for an extended time period.
Also, ethanol should not be used in vehicle engines prior to the 2001 model year. " _________________ J'aime mieux rouler que de pousser...

Un autre Warning pour ceux qui pensait faire de la plage a moto...
Good Day Gentlemen, I was hoping that you all could pass it along to your members that the coastal beach areas along the Fundy Coast are off limits to motorized vehicles effective March 1st, 2011. The areas of Martin Head, Seely Beach and Long Beach in particular will be patrolled regularly by the various enforcement groups in the area and persons found on the beaches with motorized vehicles can and will be charged under various Acts such as the Off Road Vehicle Act, the Migratory Bird Act, the Clean Water Act and the Trespass Act. This is as a result of Migratory birds nesting in the area. We are hoping that by contacting you that the word will get out to the Off Road community faster and that the necessity for prosecution can be avoided.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the enforcement agencies, the Department of Natural Resources, Department of Fisheries and Oceans or ourselves at Off Road Vehicle Enforcement and we would be more than happy to come and address your membership at a meeting.
Thank You for all your cooperation,
Scott Kiervin Officer/Agent
